Possible creation of a single Frimley Health and Care commissioning body

North East Hampshire and Farnham CCG is exploring the possibility of merging with two of our partner CCGs to form a single clinical commissioning group within the Frimley Health and Care Integrated Care System (ICS).

We currently work together with East Berkshire CCG and Surrey Heath CCG as the Frimley Collaborative of CCGs, with a single executive board.

The NHS Long Term Plan, published by NHS England in January 2019, stated: “Every ICS will need streamlined commissioning arrangements to enable a single set of commissioning decisions at system level. This will typically involve a single CCG for each ICS area.”

In July the Frimley Collaborative board agreed to submit to NHS England an intent to merge. While this is a formal step required in the process leading towards a merger, it does not formally commit the CCGs to merge.

We have been engaging with our employees, with GPs within our Member Practices and with key stakeholders to seek their views and to listen to any concerns or questions they have.

As part of this process we would also like to hear from local people. Please take a look through the pdf presentation (1.10 MB) and provide us with any comments by 9am Monday 14 September 2020 to Nehfccg.YourFeedbackCCGMerger@nhs.net

We look forward to hearing from you.
