All shortlisted 2019/20 Innovation Conference projects supported

All seven community health and wellbeing projects that were shortlisted at the North East Hampshire and Farnham Innovation Conference are to receive funding or support.

Local organisations applied for funding to launch or boost their plans for a wide range of schemes aimed at supporting people in their area.

At the Innovation Conference in September 24, they presented their bids to an audience of NHS, local authority, voluntary sector representatives and members of the public.

With a total of £10,000 in the pot and a maximum of £2,000 available per project, competition was fierce. You can find out more about the projects here.

While all received funds, not all of the projects are receiving the full amount they applied for. However, none go away empty-handed. NHS North East Hampshire and Farnham CCG, which manages the Innovation Conference, identified an opportunity to fund one of the projects – to provide wellbeing sessions for young adult and adult carers – through existing carer funds to ensure it can go ahead.

There will be an update by the project leads in late April or May 2020, with an extra opportunity for guests to provide more advice, knowledge and expertise.

Keep an eye out for the invitation for the update and for the notice inviting applications for the September 2020 Innovation Conference.

Thank you to everyone involved for your time, energy, expertise and enthusiasm. Without you the Innovation Conference would not be the success it is.
