Patient Participation Groups

Almost all GP practices in this area have a Patient Participation Group (PPG) – a group of patients who work with the practice manager and some of the GPs for the benefit of patients.

You can find out more about what PPGs are and what they can do from the National Association for Patient Participation website, or this leaflet.

Your GP reception staff can give you more information about your practice's PPG.  See your GP practices for more details.

PPG members work on behalf of patients in the area, and have an interest in the local health profile so that they understand about patients’ needs and concerns.
