July 15 2019

On 15th July 2019 the United Communities group came together at the Wellesley Community rooms, Aldershot for its second meeting of 2019.

United Communities brings together service users, carers, local support organisations and professionals from across the North East Hampshire and Farnham area to discuss local mental health provision, national and local priorities and new initiatives in mental health provisions.

It was fantastic to see new faces in the room as the group worked through an agenda which included:

  • North East Hampshire and Farnham Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) Updates
  • The launch of Primary Care Networks
  • A discussion about Social Prescribing and the Making Connections Programme
  • A workshop session looking at social prescribing within GP practices alongside the planned introduction of link workers
